Comments: What memories! SO MANY GREAT PEOPLE! I started jumping March 18, 1972 after Two Weeks of training by Sam Phillips and Royal Hatch Jr. I was still in high school. All of the early pioneers were my heroes and I was fortunate meet them all through the early years.

Comments: Mentioned in another review is "Beth Cusick". As a wet nosed teenager and youngster, I worked side-by-side with Beth Cusick at Irvin Air Chute in the very early 1960's. She attended my wedding in 1963. She taught me a LOT about life and character, and encouraged me to get my Master Rigger's License, which I did. I have packed many parachutes, including Aerospace Chutes, but have never jumped. She was a real testament to Woman Power and was a real master at stuffing that fabric into tiny spaces. She packed the chutes that recovered the 1st film capsules from space, back when photographic film was used for space imagery. The capsules containing the exposed film were recovered off the coast of Hawaii, caught in mid-air. GREAT WOMAN

Comments: Was scouring the web and fortunately stumbled onto here. Names I haven't seen in years and especially the memories. Always wondered what happened to Don Herbel with the Meridian NAS Silken Angels and the other guys. They'd come up to Starkville, MS and jump with us, the Miss. State University Skydivers. That was around '67-'68 or so. Bama Skydivers lent us their plane quite a bit to get some time on it. We eventually wound up in Magee, MS.
Cottonbelt Parachute Council always produced quality meets and functions.

Comments: Hi,
I was in the original Rumbleseat Skydivers in the 60's. I think the bar was in Hollywood. I made my last jump in 1968 at Taft, California. I have D84. I'm still flying little airplanes. Jack Cupp 602-748-7720

Comments: Boy does this bring back memories! Made my first "Dope Rope" with Bob Chaffin as my Jumpmaster at Seagoville, Tx., Aug. 31. 1968. Dallas Parachute Association was the clubs name. Jumped with guys and gals like Jerry and Sherry Schrimsher(took my only jump pics.), Jim Attaway who I still see occasionally in Quitman, Jack Shelly, Paul Miliara, Lupe Gonzales, Sherry Mclean, The"Blue Max" and many, many more! Thanks guys, great memories! Y'all called me the Black blimp with the OD overcast due to my black jumpsuit with extensions and my T-10. Best wishes too all!
