Started Sport Parachuting at Fort Rucker,

Alabama in 1961. Capt. Echels Shedden was

the Club president. Was assigned to Fort

Benning, Georgia and continued sport jumping

while there. Reassigned to Fort Bragg, N.C.

and continued jumping with the Green Beret

Sport Parachute club. Had friends like Scott

Hamilton, Bobby Buscher, Loy Brydon and

many more that I cannot remember. Received

my "D" license and was given the # 592. We

were jumping surplus military rigs with TU

mods and some bought 1.6's with the same

mod. Along came the Para Commander and

    the game changed. Good memories,

A blast from the past reading and looking at some of the pictures.   My first jump was May 15, 1965 Tucson Arizona.

I was actively in the sport until 1970.  # C-3302 PCA

Last name was Sauer back then.  Each jump was an adventure.

I would have to check my last log book , I believe I have about 700 ski-dives.   It has been a long time and the gear has changed a lot.

Hello, I made my first jump in 1961 with the Tampa Skydiving Club at Zephyrhills. I was still in high school. I jumped thru college and made static line jumps in the army. In 1972 I made one skydive in Vietnam. About 1975, I made a military jump in Dubai, UAE. In 1992, a friend hunted me down and I came back into the world of skydiving. I just spent my first social security check on a base jumping trip to Twin Falls and Moab. I  have 750 skydives and 18 base jumps. C 1323 was my first license.
