Comments: Just found this site. Started Jumping in '58 with a mail order modified AF flat circular sans-sleeve or modification from Midwest in Novi, Michigan (ouch). O. First jump FF over cotton fields in the MS Delta. On to Mississippi State '59-'62 where with John Dunn (he knew about modifications and sleeves, an epiphany) and others we started a parachute club. A-188, B-433, C-679. Jackson MS Club next, Mobile, Ala and the Gulf Coast Parachute (Cottonbelt Parachute Council) '63-'66, D-585 & Instructor.Miami, Jackosonville, Dallas/Ft.Worth, New York, New Orleans 67-74 (Sales, Lever Brothers), Virginia Beach 75-84 Last jump there in '77. Retired now to hometown of Cleveland MS, 1210 Farmer Street 38732, 662-843-4998. Would love to hear from any of you guys or gals I jumped with back in the day.

I worked for Parachutes Inc.Lakewood N.J. DURING THE SUMMERS OF 1965-66.Lee Guilfoyle,D-50,managed the center.Nick Piantinada,was preparing for his record attempt.Lee started jumping the BARRISH Sail-wing.After 47 years,April 29,2012,With Lee joining me,i made my first tandem skydive at Skydive Tampabay also along for the ride was Phil Chicchio,the first Desert Rat,chute shagger,boot polisher,like myself. My Instructor,former Special Forces D-14256,John Ledbetter.Dream come true! Peter Saling skydiver-pioneer.

Started at Texas A&M in 1961. Jumped mostly in Texas but some meets in Louisana and Oklahoma. Placed 3rd at the 1963 National Collegiate Championships in Lake Geneva Wisc. Ran the 1964 Championships Meet at Hearn, Texas. One of Wallace's Outlaws in Houston. Also jumped at Doc Anagnostis's. Jumped with C.G. Wallace, Ed Fitch, Susie Clemmons, T-Bird Crump, Pat Works, Doc Anagnostis, and lots of other crazy people. Warm memories.
