Comments: First jump Tidewater Navy Skydivers NAS Oceana 1960, got B-1419, C-2510 - Abby at Abby`s Oceana Downtown Bar and Grill set up a room for us - Best burgers ever. I remember we lost Ed Lamb in a mid-air collision with another jumper in free-fall, Abby gave us his credit card and let us use his van/wagon to go to the funeral out of state. I remember Bob "Mr. Parachutes" Matthews D-118 ASO 124, Stan "The Nose" Janecka, Lt. "D" Roberge - then on to Pax River Navy Skydivers, then Navy North Island Parachute Club, then back to east coast, VP-8 NAS Brunswick Maine where I jumped into my last re-enlistment from a P-3 with Sandy "The Flying Scott" McLean. Great memories for 86 years of life!

Comments: I flew for Doc 0ff and on from about 1967 to 1980. I have 2 static line jumps. Dave Boatman was my jump master.

Comments: My Grandfather was Verne Williams and jumped in the 60’s. I just wondered if anyone remembered him and if they wanted to share. I do have some photos and articles from the time if anyone is interested as well! Looking forward to hearing from someone l!

Comments: Made ny first sport jump with the Green Beret Sport Parachue Club, 1970, with J/M Paul Sittter and instructor, Dale Stec, at Raeford DZ. Was a messy day, overcast but warm. Had prior jumps before in early 60"s with old twills. Progressed through the years with the old master's, Gene Paul, Chick Cunningham, Chuck Collingwood, Roger Reynolds, and many more I can't remember. Went through the first USPA Jumpmaster and Instructor Courses ai Fort Bragg, 1973, hosted by Spider Wren, Gene Paul, Paul Sitter, Dale Stec. Jumped with many members of the Golden Knights in the early 70's at Raeford DZ, Pinebluff DZ, Roseland DZ. Obtained my Rigger Certificate, ran,"Tri-County Sport Parachute DZ", in Derby,NC, later changed to "Derby DZ". Gold Wings awarded by Gene Paul at Camden, SC DZ during the conference jump meet. Appointed Southeastern #35 Safety Officer in mid 70"s. Worked with Chick Cunningham in teaching the first Community College Sport Parachute course in the Southeast in 1976, Sandhills community College, Southern Pines, NC then moved to the Richmond County High School for first Sport Parachute course. Jumped at Fort Stwart GA, rigger for the club, Redstone Arsenal, TX, Fl, Ga, NC, SC, Italy and many more areas, Had jumps on Single T, DLL, Para-Commander's, Papillon, Vole-Plane, UGH!!, many of the incoming squares. Had lots of friends, many memories and lots fun. earned Class C # 7655, Class D#3963, I-73. Last jump, 1997>> BOZ, USARMY, CWO 4 [RET]
